Girls' Brigade
4th Sheffield GB
4th Sheffield Girls' Brigade was established almost 100 years ago at Mount View Methodist Church. We offer friendship, fun and fellowship to girls and young ladies in the local community.
The GB mission is to Seek, Serve and Follow Christ, but we offer so much more than that. Our company nights offer young girls and women the opportunity to spend time together, free from the pressures of everyday life, gadgets and screens.
Who can join in?
Any young person in the local community is welcome to join us.
We tailor our activities based on age and make sure we offer a fully inclusive and friendly atmosphere to encourage friendship across our company members.

Safeguarding and COVID-19
The safety of our members and leaders is of huge importance to us. All of our leaders are DBS checked and fully trained in leading young girls through Girls' Brigade.
During the COVID-19 pandemic we moved a lot of our activities online to protect our members and leaders. We have now resumed face to face activities but will continue to monitor and assess the situation to ensure the ongoing safety of everyone.
We continue to follow guidance from Girls Brigade headquarters and are pleased to announce that the National Youth Agency alert level is now ‘Yellow’. This means we can meet again indoors, without restrictions on group sizes. However, we still have to ensure we adhere to COVID guidance.
When we are inside:
adults and girls over the age of 11 will be required to wear face masks,
we will be social distancing (where possible),
hand hygiene will be important with regular washing and sanitising encouraged,
girls will use individual equipment and resources
parents must drop off and collect from outside, not entering the building and queuing in a socially distanced manner
we will be cleaning touch surfaces.
Symptoms and Positive Cases
It is important that girls don’t attend Girls Brigade if they are experiencing any COVID symptoms or have had recent contact with anybody testing positive. In the event of anyone testing positive after attending GB, please contact Clare (Explorers) or Joanne (Older Girls) via text message, so we can organise contact tracing. Please only share Leader’s details with NHS contact tracing – not individual member’s details.
